Pacific Great Western designed these
all welded steel wide vision vans in 1967 to replace their aging fleet of wooden vans.
The prototype #1851 was delivered in April 1968. During the next seven years
they constructed 34 more vans in six different lots. The early versions were painted
two tone green and lettered PGE with a map herald. Subsequent to renaming the road
British Columbia Railway, all cabooses received the two tone green paint with the dogwood
logo.
Kits feature a one piece body casting, one piece frame and one piece
cupola. Also included is our own Sylvan Decals with the dogwood logo, and Tichy grab
irons. Trucks and couplers are not included.
